Countdown to "24" Season Premier...
I meant airport. My posts can sometimes be as mystifying as the plot of this show

Here is my theory...
President Logan wanted to kill the Russian President for whatever reason. Logan got Cummings and Robocop to do his dirty work. Bierko was simply a pawn in an elaborate plan to kill the Russian President. Martha's assistant may have uncovered the plot and communicated it to David Palmer who Logan had killed. Logan tried to pin Palmer's murder on Jack by also killing the only three other people who knew Jack was alive. When Jack discovered that Cummings was working with the Russian terrorists, Logan killed Cummings himself or had him killed. When Jack foiled Bierko's plan to kill the Russian President, all of Logan's plans got tossed out the window. Now Logan needs to cover up his evil plot by getting rid of all the evidence and killing people who knew about this. Logan probably sent someone to gas CTU so he has a good excuse to have Homeland take them over. Now Logan needs to get rid of Jack.
I still think that Stoller will be back to haunt Jack by giving him up to the Chinese. I really hope that the writers will bring back the Chinese subplot by the end of the season to tie up loose ends. Maybe the Chinese may be willing to forget about Jack, if the new government under the current VP faults Logan for the embassy attack citing that he gave the order and at the end of the day, we see the Chinese taking Logan into custody.

Once the Logan's original plan got messed up - terrorists releasing it here instead of Russia or at their camp site - he needed Jack to kill the terrorists and recover the nerve gas. Who else is he going to call? Robo? He's seen how Jack operate, he gets sh*t done, so he needs Jack. While Jack is out and about getting the baddies, Logan and Robo goes around clearing the evidence that might link them to today's events.
Another point for the original plan - increasing military presence to insure the flow of oil was letting the terrorists attack the Russian convoy to the airport. Logan, I think saw that as an opportunity to sacrifice the Russian Pres, Russian Pres's wife and his own wife for the greater cause. If the terrorists were successful, then Logan will go after the terrorists in their own country and start a war - going back to the original plan. Remember they just signed a pack against terrorist - so if the Russian Pres died on our soil, we HAVE to react.
Killing Palmer was because he knew too much about what is going on and who is behind it. Once Palmer was dead, they had to kill Michelle, (Or try to) Tony and Chloe. This was to frame Jack - to deflect suspicion away from Logan and his agenda. Everyone would be looking for a man's that is dead and not suspect Logan and his crew.
Also I think they killed Palmer right before the treaty because he was going to tell Ms Logan (Not the whole truth) enough to cause a commotion to foil the signing of the pact against terrorist. Probably tell her that if her husband signed that he would die or something. Palmer can't tell her the truth since it's her own husband but tell her something to foil the signing of the pact. No pact means no killing at airport. No killing at airport means no way of getting nerve gas out of airport. No nerve gas out of airport means no WMD. No WMD means no Logan plan.

That sounds pretty good Whenever TV writers get stuck or draw a blank, they should just surf around to different forums and see what viewers are predicting

NEW YORK -- With 15 years of hindsight, Kiefer Sutherland now thinks it's a good thing that Julia Roberts left him at the aisle.
Sutherland told Rolling Stone, "thank God" she saw "how young and silly" they were at the time.
However, Sutherland hasn't forgiven his friend Jason Patric, who took Roberts to Ireland after she broke off the engagement.
The "24" star said he's "surprised" Patric never called him to say he'd "fallen in love" with Roberts.
Sutherland said he had to find out "from a stranger."

NEW YORK -- With 15 years of hindsight, Kiefer Sutherland now thinks it's a good thing that Julia Roberts left him at the aisle.
Sutherland told Rolling Stone, "thank God" she saw "how young and silly" they were at the time.
