Am I the only person that thought it was weird that they kidnapped him, beat him, and dragged his ass on a boat in the middle of the ocean, all within a matter of minutes? It totally destroyed the 1hr = 1 episode approach to the show for me.

The whole point to 24, is one entire day. So what if it happens continiously. We are only showed within that season 24 hours. The fact that next season might be what comes the next day I am fine with. But then again that "Slow Boat to China" is going really slow and i highly doubt that they will continue the next day on the ship. I'm sure it takes more than 24 hours to go from Cali to China in a ship like that!

I think Day 6 MUST take place all in China. Even if Jack is rescued, by flight it takes what 10 hours
to get from Asia to LA. This isn't like other shows where you see them get on a plane, and seconds later they show them landing And WTF was Chloe doing married to the guy who does voices for Geico commercials

Thoughts for next season
1) I agree with some previous post - either next season is in China or US because of the 24 hour time constraint. But I leaning toward Jack being in US. I hope the writers won't say Jack "gains" a day by traveling back to the US. Is it gain or lose a day - Blah I forget.
2a) Some reasons why Jack might be in US for next season - the characters. Most of the characters that can help Jack if he is jailed in China are dead. Pres Palmer, whatever political power he might have to get Jack out. Tony and Michelle, no longer with CTU may be able to help because they know how that stuff "works". And the ones that are alive - Curtis and Buchanan are out of their jurisdiction.
2b) Here is why I think Jack is in the China next season. Audre and her dad can help because of their political power - they will somehow get the new President to cut a deal with China to get Jack back. Chloe can always help - computer computing badass.
3) I wonder who Jack wanted to make the phone call to... I'm thinking Chloe and not Audre. Chloe can trace his call and she knows all his "code" talk so Chloe can somehow find out where he is.
