All those threads about spiders, plus the fact that I recently saw Steve Irwin's show about the 10 deadliest snakes in the world, plus the fact that I run in fear from centipedes and spiders and insects in general, brings me to this topic:

I think Steve Irwin aka The Crocodile Hunter and the Director of the Australia Zoo, is absolutely THE MAN. His show is the best. I have much admiration for the work he does, and for his passion. Plus, I think he has bigger balls than anyone I've ever seen, dealing with all those deadly creatures and such. I'm curious as to how other more wordly people than me, especially you Aussies, would reply to my statements... would you say:

1) You're just a dumb, naive, foolish American. We all do the things Steve does.
or
2) Steve's Okay.
or
3) Steve's THE MAN. He's the greatest thing since sliced bread!

Steve is totally mad but you gotta love him.
I think he is brilliant.

 

steve is the man, i love the episode when he gets chased by several kimono(sp?) dragons and all he thinks about is what amazing creature they are. he has an amazing ability to overcome his fear

 

I'll never forget the time I saw him wrestle down a wild female boar. After he let her go, she was pretty pissed at him. She charged him, and he just simply grabbed her head and stopped her dead in her tracks. He then let go, and said "Run along now!!" And the boar turned around and took off. Unbelievable. Steve is the man. He's a little crazy, but I have nothing but respect for the guy.

One more thing...what's with all these Steve wanabes that are all over TV now? They all pale in comparison.

 

That's nothing, we all wrestle boars for breakfast. And not the pansy chick ones, the big tusk manly ones .

Seriously, that guy is just so over excited it's annoying. But hey, if you foreigners like it, keep buying the shows.

Steve is the man coz he cracks me up every time I see him.

The thing I admire about himis the fact that his shows aren't an act. That's what he's like in real life, I met him when I went to his reptile park.

It makes me piss myself laughing whenever I see him in his safari suit. He even wears it when he's scuba diving.

 

i think he's retarded which makes it all the more fun to watch....idiots make for good tv

Komodo Dragon. (Varanus Komodoensis) Venom does those kinds of things everyday. I'd say he's just about as good as Steve, if not better.
