My thoughts exactly.

It's the responsibility of those of us who carry firearms to rid the world of people who commit violent crimes.
LOL gunna be hard to do that when they find your carcass in the jack in the box drive through cause you thought you would be smart and pull a gun on someone that already has one pointed at your face.

I seem to forget though, most you guys have lightening fast reflexes and can get a gun out of a holster, turn and point it at a carjacker and pull the trigger before the carjacker can simply slide his finger across his trigger and put you out of your misery

If your getting carjacked by someone with a gun, you'll likely be dead by the time you get the gun out of the holster if they see you reaching for a firearm. Just give them your damn car, what the heck do you pay for insurance for anyways.
Probably because some us ain't French

It would never occur to me to roll over with my legs in the air waiting to be f_cked.

It's not the value of the item it's the fact that it's mine and if someone wants to try and take something that's mine then I have no problem taking a life over it. First time I sighted in on Bambi in the woods looking at me with those big sad brown eyes and I fired off a 7mm round at 300 yards and saw Bambi twitch and go into a short convulsion before dying. I learned that day that I had no qualms over pulling a trigger

Dude did they used to take your lunch money at school too?

One other thing, a S&W 500 goes thru a cheap S2000 door panel and thru a human body pretty much unabated. Pretty damn effective

Depends on where the side arm is holstered.

This thread had potential to be an informative one until all the "internet toughguy" douchebaggery took over.

You want to pull your gun on someone that has the drop on you, go ahead and get killed for all I care.

Just don't post about it here and make the rest of us firearm aficionados look like blood thirsty idiots.

I was at my parent's place one night when someone tried to break in the front door.

They got it open. The 9mm I had pointed at their forehead was the only reason they ran off and nothing worse happened.

When you have something like that happen to you or your family, you'll understand there is no guilt in pulling the trigger when your safety or your families is at stake.

Read his post again. They didn't have the drop on you.

So, by that rationale, if someone has the "drop on you", it's better to be defenseless and unarmed?

its all about the circumstances...

its better to have a gun in the car ready to go instead of the safe at home.
