Default Cutting Edge Technology!

The University of Wisconsin, Madison has adapted a laser to cut - what else? - cheese!

I'm guessing that they'll have to tailor the laser according to the type of cheese they want to slice: red lasers for cheddar or gouda, blue lasers for gorgonzola, stilton, or roquefort, pulsed lasers for swiss, and so on.

it's a good thing... cuz ya know that there wasn't really a good way to cut cheese before.

I'm all for education and research and stuff... but who wrote up the grant proposal asking for money to do this? and who the heck approved it?

I've never seen anything orange come out of a cow that I wanted to eat.... so why is Wiscosin cheddar ORANGE?!

Vermont cheddar rules!

For extra credit - what do they use to "taint" their cheddar to make it orange?
