DAMN!!! m3 stolen.
Damn that really sucks! The thing that sucks even worse is that it's probably relatively new, and if you do get it back, it wont feel the same. If you don't get it back your insurance company will only pay you blue book, so if you didn't put a chunk down you may have end up having to shell out dollars just to pay off your old loan.
let us know how this turns out!

If I recall correctly, in Florida, once your car has been stolen, insurance companies will not return it to you, even if it's found unharmed a block away, because of liability ramifications (there is potential that something could have been done while in the thieves' hands that renders the car unsafe).
I hope that you have the best outcome possible... this really sucks, and I'd be pissed too!

This really just SUCKS!!! I should of stayed home today... First day back at work and my car is stolen.
In one word: CHEAP. The owners of my company are extremely cheap beyond belief. Example: We have to turn off all electronic equipement and lights when we leave our offices/cubes at the end of the day or face a written warning. Our motto is "What have you done today to save this company money?" Rent at the local ghetto mall is cheap. Everyone that lives here knows its a popular gang-banger hangout and several shootings (and resulting deaths) have taken place at this location. Many were opposed to us moving here but the owners insisted.
We have security guards and one Metro-Dade cop assigned to our parking area during regular business hours (8AM to 6PM). After that there's one rent-a-cop at the front door until 9PM. After 9PM and during weekend's there's zero security and its during which most of the crap happens.
Today I decided to come in a little early, since I figured I was getting back from vacation and had a pile of crap to review and do. So I came in at 6AM when there is no security. Never coming in early again.
It was equipped with the factory anti-theft system and the standard immobilizer. It did not have the Lo-Jack. My S2000 came with the Lo-Jack option installed. In hindsight, I should have purchased the Lo-Jack for the M3.
Right now, I'm just F*CKING PISSED. I only hope now that they never find it. My friend's CLK was stolen and striped, his insurance insisted on fixing it and the car was never the same. I already called my insurance agent, and they have to wait a certain amount of days before they can "total" the car. Hopefully they will pay me blue book value, pay off what I owe on the loan and use the rest for a down payment on a new one.

I don't get it, why a company decides to establish in a "poor" area when they are rich??? Is it to save $$$???

So you did or did not get the necessary anti-theft acessories for your car knowing the history of your work area? I feel sorry this had happened to you and hope you do get your car back soon either from the cops or the insurance company replacing it. Powerlock, Lo-jack is strongly suggested on your S or your M if you should recover it. Good luck.

More bad news...
Preparing in the chance that my insurance company declares it as a total loss, I called some local dealerships around South Florida and all except one have a 6 to 12 month wait. ARHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! The only one has a Imola Red coming in a few days.
