Death of a carjacker - NSFW
Quick2K, you're amazingly forgiving to people that are responsible for thousands of murders every year. Yes society is partially to blame for gangs, but there are plenty of people that grow up in the same conditions as gang members and don't choose that lifestyle. They made the decision to be in a gang, not me or you and they are ultimately responsible for their actions.
Ok, short personal history since you doubt....
Lived in East San Jose till I was 8 (parents split when I was 5) around the area of East Ridge Mall.
Moved to Tx.. Buda ( pronounced B-you-da), then got shuffled off to Mom's place ( Oakland.. east 14th st), then to a lovely sqat near the Fruitvale Bart Station. Moved back to Tx to little bit of a better place.
My pops worked 60+hrs/week. My mom worked 40+ when she worked. I grew up a latch key kid.
It is a mistake to assume b/c I am white, and have made something out of myself, that I don't know about hard times. I have read ad nauseum about "Culture of Poverty" and how that pertains to gangs. I think its a load of BS. Those that are cowards and too afraid to face the tough realities of life gravitate towards gangs, rather than go it alone. Do gangs offer a sort of protection... yes. Again, if you afraid to stand alone, then you need a gang to get your back. Look at cost of that "protection". If you don't join a gang, do you have to watch your back more...yes. Swallow your pride more often i.e. you know you could kick some chump's ass, but he's got backup and you don't,...yes. I learned that lesson the hard way. I left 2 teetch on the beach in Alameda, when I fought this punk outside of the McDonald's there and was subsequently jumped.
So, in short, I know WTF I am talking about. I've been there and feel NOTHING for these f*cks when they die.
