I have to say that I have never tried this (honest officer!!) but a friend swears that it works....

Change one or two of the letters/numbers on you plate using clear nail varnish.... i.e. you can make an "0" look like an "8" by putting a line across the middle, etc. when looked normally at it doesn't show, but when the flash of a camera hits it, the picture shows the modified number.... apparently!!!!!

Actually, if someone was very interprising they could take a 3M Computer Privacy Screen cut it down and put it into a license plate frame. This would block any side, top or bottom view unless you were directly behind the vehicle. I'm supprised that someone already hasn't thought about this. Works great on computer screens, why not on the plate. Plus it is still visible to the public!

But of course, I'm not indorsing this nor am I condoning it's use!

Alternatively, you could block out say the first two letters totally, which would make oit damn near impossible for them to trace the picture to your car.....
