Dental implants
I had two lower jaw implants. Getting the teeth pulled was not pleasant. The oral surgeon required several visits before the implants, then basically torque wrenched the implants into my jaw. With the anesthetic, there was no pain and minimal pain afterward with Vicodin. If you have a long drive home, bring the Vicodin with you and pop one or two right after the procedure so it (they) will kick in before the anesthetic wears off. With the crowns, the implants are like real teeth. I can floss, no trouble. I had a bridge put in recently because it was cheaper than an implant. It was a real pain in the ass, with several visits to the dentist and a temporary bridge -- which kept coming out. If I had it to do over again, I'd get another implant.
