Did I catch this cop at the wrong time?!

Just happened today, lunch time...HE thinks I cut him off at a 4-way stop . Of course, like a dumb-a*s, I tried to "reason" with him telling him how he was still slowing down to a stop...while I WAS already stopped and whole nine yard...to no avail. He gave me a nice $80-"moving violation" ticket for "failing to yield at 4-way stop" .

I have a feeling that he had a little fight with his wife this morning, and I was just at the wrong place and wrong time .

So the question is do I fight it or just waste another weekend in a stupid driving course?
What do ya'll think?

What a shi*ty, rainy day here in Orlando!

P.S. In case you are reading this, Mr. "Copper".... I'm glad I have given you an opportunity to feel all "important" and useful today. I hope you have finally realized that even YOU can be quite a useful "tool" in collecting extra dollars that must be replenished while state budgets are getting cut left-and-right. AND if it's from that snobby looking young punk driving an S2000, more power to you! 'Cuz let's face it, what's the chance that a young rookie officer like yourself can actually afford a car like this one anytime soon? It's just too bad you had to let your personal envy cloud your professional judgement...or so it seemed from the little jovial conversation we had but I could be wrong. Oh, yeah, the next time you take a vacation, try to catch up on some spoken English courses, if they have any training budgets left...'cuz I swear, I had a hellova time understanding you .

I think we need someone to police the police... tough break man, I would fight it if I were you, and you think beyond a shadow of a doubt that you were right..

That is not really cool. Fight until you can fight no more.

Explain it to a judge. Be sincere and respectful. Who knows, the cop might not even show up. Any video evidence would be in your favor, too.

Stuff like that irks me so. There just may not be a damn thing you can do about it. I thought you were supposed to stop at a four-way stop. Not yield. Oh well. Sorry.

Cops fly through my neighborhood all the time and the four way stop is like a hesitation sign. My wife has called the police chief on them a few times. Their favorite answer after an investigation... "they were on a run." SURE they were. No lights, no sirens and not in a real hurry. Just going 40 in a 25 coasting through stop signs.

I don't know, I may be too young to remember this, but i'm told cops once lived by the notion that they were there to *help* people everyday.

I guess they don't live by this creed anymore huh? because ever since I can remember they kinda live by the exact opposite
