Default Digital Camera/Retail or Online?

For all those that have a digital camera,

Should I save some money and buy a digital camera online? Or go to the retail store and pay the extra?

The reason I ask is I have heard some horror stories with buying digital equiptment online. Can anyone recommend a place?

The camera I am looking to purchase is the Olympus C-700UZ.

Thanks for your time.

online, definitely.

do a price search on http://www.pricewatch.com

I've never had any problems ordering from any company on there.

Definately buy online.

The price difference is huge and well worth it. I think I got my camera from buydig.com.
You can always check on pricewatch.com for the best prices.

Good luck!

I have checked http://www.resellerratings.com but all seem to have pretty low ratings.

I have a buddy that bought his camera from buydig. But I have found 3 different prices from buydig.

Here are the prices

$498 if you select the camera from buydig's website a window pops up and have a price for $498

$597

$446

The price for the $446 was found using www.pricescan.com.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks for the input.
