Their rate hike is usurious. I saw that on my account too. Guess I'll pick a diff card if I want to carry any balance.

 

dicover is actually giving me 3.9% for all my purchases from march throug sept.

 

Credit cards are fine if you pay them. You only get penalized if don't pay them in full on time. Closing credit lines will negatively affect your credit rating. The biggest part of your rating is how much unused credit you have been extended. Not having a credit card scores the same as having one that is maxed out.
