everyone is free to express their opinion. Magician is certainly free to express his.
However, that said, TV is full of this type of things (Soaps, Desperate Housewife, Donald Trump, Anna Smith, Britney Spears, must I go on?). People are pretty jaded these days, getting worked up over one ad is a bit extreme.

 

I would imagine he is just as disgusted by the other programs and people that you've posted.

Jesus christ...I just saw a commercial for a diet pill...they're suggesting that fat people are disgusting and unacceptable. I think I'll kill myself now. Wait I'm not fat....carry on.

 

The whole purpose of marketing these days is to get you to notice. We have so many forms of advertiseing coming our ways that just getting our attention is a hard fought battle.

As evidenced by this thread, this one is getting our attention so it has accomplished its goal. I found it funny and I have only been married 2 years. Happily at that. I did not think it attacked the foundation of marriage.

I also had never seen it until I opened this thread so this may be doing more harm than good?

Say what you will, but Magician's arguments are well thought-out and well typed: I'm sure he'll not look too deeply into anything you post after your attempt at being funny.
