I agree with you Magician, bad taste. Also the "ass from a hole in the ground statement"was poor judgement too.

I think magician has made a good point. Those that are attacking him have made none so far.

ok, here's a point: It's a parody, a joke, a humourous take on a piece of pop culture that we all have seen. If you can't find the simple humor there, and instead get your panties twisted over something so tame, you need to relax.

A Sense of Humor: get one, ASAP!

I don't have a TV so I don't have to put up with this kind of stuff.

He may have a great point, but as far as under minding the 27 years worth of marriage, give me a break! Why not take it for what it is, a damn commercial! Im not saying it's the most PC'ed thing I've seen, but honestly i'm getting tired of hearing someone cry over everything thats not in their best taste. If you dont like it dont watch it, and definatly dont buy a Benz or a Chrysler.

Tasteless- yes. Tacky- absolutely. Offensive- possibly... but it is advertising. The point is to get you to remember the product (hopefully with some positive association).

Twenty seven years from now if somebody offers me a young Italian model to replace the wife, I will think about it. I was not offended by this commercial and foubnd it slightly amusing.

The one I found lame was the one for the new Dodge econo bucket (forget the name) where the cartoon characters are looking at it and they ask "Binky" what he thinks and he says "It scares the *blank* out of me."

No when he says "blank" you can clearly here the beginning of an "F" sound and at the end a "K" sound. The commercial was on at all time of the day. I am sure a jillion kids saw it.

Now, I started hearing the "f" word a jillion times by the fifth grade and I am sure it is even younger now. I just don't find that kosher. Too vulgar for little kids. When I hear some 11 year old drop an F bomb you just want to smack the smart ass little bastard.

The funniest part of the commercial you mentioned was that they replaced a Toyota with a Chrysler and it was supposed to be better. I laughed at that too.

At least we're being nice to each other now.

Why attack him. This is America and he's expressing his views. Just like he doesn't have to watch the commercial, you don't have to write DC and complain. He has a good point that society has declined so much as to make light of marriage is amusing. It struck a chord with Magician and I see why. I'm not emailing DC, but I completly agree with Magician that it is tastless to have to little respect for the institution of marriage. Unfortunatly modern society has gone far to support that notion.
