Also, most people can't tell the difference between hunger and thirst. You may just be dehydrated. Try drinking a glass of water, and if you're still hungry in 5 min, then you should eat something.
I can't eat that much any more, but I could when I was a teenager. We used to have lunch at my grandmother's every Sunday, and you learn to scarf down as much as you can when you're fighting with 7 other cousins. There were seldom leftovers at that table, even though it always looked like Thanksgiving before we started digging in.

the feeling that you have eaten enough lags say 20 minutes a bad for fast eaters. people stealing it off your plate?
you need some where around 2000 calories/day. exercise at the gym, you may use up an additional 600 calories. this is not alot, about a candy bar and a half.
