I'm specifically interested if you use the new Jaguar X.2

How much different is it from X.1? Is it worth getting?

Hi BG, yes I use OS X and recently upgraded to Jaguar.

It's very nice but I'm not sure that you'll find it worth the price. Then again I remember a screen shot you posted and it was full of PM services so you'll like iChat. Also it seems more stable and optimised that 10.1.5.

In agreement here!. I have been running it (Jaguar)on my laptop for over a month. For me the speed enhancement was worth it! iChat is kinda cool to. AIM built in to the OS! Also like the new find feature built into the toolbar of all windows.

I've not upgraded, I can't justify $130 when I can use any number of free chat clients. Maybe I might pick up some speed, but that's still not worth the bux to me yet.

At the university Computer store where I go to, they are selling it for $120 Canadian, so it's not THAT bad compared to if I bought it at a normal computer store.. but I might wait a bit to see if they come out with another upgrade.

I think 10.2 will be the one to have for the next year or so, I plan on buying it for my powerbook at the school store to save myself some cash as well. Now what I really want in the new X specific photoshop but I just can;t see myself shelling out for it while I have it for free at work.

I recently upgraded my 600Mhz iMac to an 800mhz 17" iMac. So I got the introductory offer or whatever it was called and I got 10.2 for 20 bucks US. It's worth it if you need networking and/or chatting on AIM (i like the bubbles on iChat alot). Other than that I would stay with 10.1 until something grand happens to Mac OS X.
