Weaving in heavy traffic is a waste of time. You only end up where you started and it's not safe.

Weaving in other conditions is just fine and I do it all the time. The rule of thumb imo is to do it only when you won't be causing other to have to slow down. As long as it's seamless it's all good.

I wish the left lane was the passing lane everywhere. Cali is the worst when it comes to this. I never used to pass on the right but you really don't have a choice out here.

I love to weave but not in a manner that I feel could be offensive ot any sensible person. I dont cut people off or drive recklessly, but I like to weave and have a little fun. Its more entertaining than just sittin in one lane riding behind somebody on the highway....

yeah... sadly, all bets are off in SoCal. It doesn't matter how fast you're driving, there will always be some nut driving 30 mph faster, and another one driving 30 mph slower.

My rule of thumb is, I'll stay out of your way, if you kindly stay out of mine.

I used to have this in my sig:

Ever notice that anyone going faster than you is crazy and anyone going slower is a moron... Everything is relative.

I think I used to have it stated a bit better but the meaning was the same.

no one goes faster than me

weaving is fine if, like people said, the people you pass don't have to slow down, and you use your signal. I'm so used to using my signal that I found myself doing it on a race track!

I find this car makes anyone an a$$hole! LOL! I can drive my wife's Forester all day long without feeling the need to speed, yet I get in my S and feel like redlining and weaving until I get to my destination. The car makes me do it!

ok, i never meant "weaving." it ends up being weaving when passing people on the left as one should and having to pass on the right cuz someone slow is blocking the left. anyways, i never cut people off. the fact that i asked the question means that i care, not that i know it's wrong. some of u people jump to oddest conclusions.

If you never meant "weaving" why did you use the word?

I don't ever weave quickly back and forth between cars, BUT the way I see it, if you can weave back and forth between traffic, people need to start moving their asses to the right to obey traffic laws. The left lane is for passing, not for dicking around on your cell phone!

I don't get it when people weaving in and out of traffic then just end up 1 car ahead of you due to a red light or traffic It's not like they've gone that far at all. All of that effort just to be 1 car ahead of me. That's so stupid.
