He did indeed have cherry eye, and I had two options, push it back in (risk of it coming back and costing $500 a pop for the procedure) or remove the duct altogether and then put drops in for the rest of his life. I chose pushing it in, but luckily, never had an issue.

sorry for the loss man, i know how hard that must be! dreading the day this happens to my little mutt. had her since she was 3 months old but hopefully have at least another 10 years of her. nothing like coming home to your dog.
