I had to get a husky torque wrench because I needed something with 250+lbs capacity and they were the only local spot I could find one on short notice. POS has been replaced twice already, but they haven't given me any hassle. The inner gears sheer very easily.

 

Have had the same problem with Lowes, replacing tools.

 

Who the hell only owns one rachet (unless it's a 1/2" drive)? Should have just bought another (at Sears) and sent that one in.

 

Kobalt and Husky are store brands and their tools are made by different actual companies over the years. They are okay if you know what you're buying.

Good to hear about that return policy. Sears will replace theirs on the spot IF they have that tool in stock. I wouldn't say Craftsman quality was anything to brag about, excepting that return policy.

 

Snap-on>Mac>Craftsman>Husky/Kobalt>Harbor Frieght.

Husky is a Home Depot brand so the replacement policy is one in the same.

 

imho snap on isnt that great. im in the navy. i work on planes. and snap on tools are always breaking while the mac tools are still trucking away. i use craftsman at home on my cars and never had a problem. i did buy a cheap set of powerbuilt tools that broke and are crap to use
