Who said anything about owning 1 rachet? I own 4 other besides the 1 in question.
There ya, go. That kind of make it a "who cares?"issue, doesn't it?

Some Sears will NOT replace a ratchet in store. I broke a 3/8" pro and got it replaced in a few minutes with a new one a few years ago. The replacement broke a few months ago, and they took it for a few days and repaired it, no charge. The funny thing was they had about 25 broken ratchets in the box under the counter waiting to be repaired.
Pro

Professional series?

Also, understand that Champion (the instore Chinese brand at Sears) is not covered under the lifetime warranty.

If you have one Sears that will not replace your tool, ask them "Why" and if the answer does not make sense a. go to a different Sears, b. Escalate the issue.

Interesting to hear that now there are two people who did not get their tools replaced.

If you had 5 cars and 1 broke, would you say who cares? No, you would probably want it fixed even though you could live without it.

The point of my post is about their return/replacement policy, not about if I had other tools to finish the job with.

I'd just send it in. No sense getting all worked up over it. Like you said, you have several.
