all programs will subject you to the possibility of downloading a virus which will mess up your computer... but definitely stay away from P2P programs such as Limewire... I recommend uTorrent

if you're pirating music, torrents are the only way to go

if you're paying for it, i suggest using amazon.com/mp3

I use limewire.. I know its filled with viruses, but the trick is to play the songs before they download all the way. If you can't hear anything then stop the download cuz its a virus. That worked for me for a while. But I now have awesome virus protection and it will automatically stop the download if its a virus

Thats not true... the file can work fine.. meaning the music will play... but viruses are still attached to files.. and when you open it up, you open up the virus

I use BT. uTorrent or Vuze are the only clients you should bother with.

www.vuze.com (powerful)
www.utorrent.com (small)

Then go to a torrent site and have at it.

thepiratebay.org
mininova.org
isohunt.com
