correct me if i'm wrong, but every single case i've read about where the RIAA sued someone.. they were using kazaa or limewire. i don't believe they've ever gone after someone for torrents.

if someone wants to prove me wrong, feel free, i'm basing this off many months of reading slashdots' YRO section.

also i may have 'shared' in music with my college dorm back in the day, but now that i have a real job i buy all of it. most of the artists i listen to deserve the money.

I think you are right... Ive never heard of anyone busted using a torrent

RIAA stopped the lawsuits - apparently it finally admitted they were ineffective.

My school caught me two years ago when I was getting internet through the dorms. I accidently left an episode of the office seeding, and I guess they traced it and gave me a warning. Said if I was caught again they'd alert authorities or something. I continued DLing, just remembered to stop seeding.
