My school caught me two years ago when I was getting internet through the dorms. I accidently left an episode of the office seeding, and I guess they traced it and gave me a warning. Said if I was caught again they'd alert authorities or something. I continued DLing, just remembered to stop seeding.

A little different story though being ratted on rather then the RIAA directly pursuing you. But that sucks! Atleast they warned you about it first though.
RIAA will tell you that you either face a lawsuit (many many thousands in lawyers and so far few people have won even if they fought)
OR
flat settlement, pay them ~$2k to go away.

is www.allofmp3.com still around? They were a cheap outfit out of Russia.
lol go to http://www.utorrent.com and dl it. then when you dl the torrent file from piratebay, have it open in utorrent.
get rid of limewire

also, when searching for music or videos, pay attention to seeders and leachers. something with 2 seeds and 10 leachers is going to take forever, if it even goes. something with 0 seeds isn't gonna go at all.
also i personally do not seed, so when your dl finishes, click on the file in utorrent and hit "stop". not delete, stop!
i did not write any of this
