Smoked for 40 years --- used the patch. Discoverd that 21mg, 14mg, and 7mg were different sizes --- what a wonderful thing. It's Panoz that has the patent on the "dermal patch" so unless you want to make Panoz richer, use 2 weeks of 21's, then 2 weeks of 14's (and when you buy the 14's, buy 21's and cut them) then you have 2 weeks of 7's

I only did the 21's and the 14's. The hardest part is to subsitute what you "psycologically" love about cigaettes.

I loved the taste and smoked mentol. I would occasionally take a licorice stick. to get the "mentol" taste. And I keeped a pack of REGULAR cigs around; and when I really felt like I needed a taste, I lit one up. Coughed like a son-of-a-bitch, and it tasted like shit. PUT IT OUT immediately and only did that about 3 times.

It's now been 4 years. I still have the urge but remember the horrible taste and don't need one.

GOOD LUCK
John

ps. you can always substitute sex!

Good luck Muz! I quit cold turkey 3 years ago after smoking for about 15 years and now I have a hard time imagining that I ever was a smoker.

Hang with it Muz after about two years it gets lots easier

I quit a long time ago before the patch was even invented I think.

Now when I am around someone who smokes they just reek of stail smoke.
A very nasty habit.

Keep it up, Muz. I smoked (I still find this hard to believe) for almost 10 years...quit cold turkey 9 years ago. I never looked back and I can't imagine picking up another cigarette. Once you quit, you become a fervent non-smoker. I won't even date a girl who smokes...!

Ack!

Keep it up, this is the hardest time right now, but it just gets easier...

You can do it!

I was seriously addicted and quit 12 years ago (before the patch). One of the hardest things I had ever done (after about fifty tries) and was in withdrawal for about a year. I was so bad it was lucky that I was not shot, divorced, and fired among other things I probably deserved.

Hang in there.. the freedom and health benefits are worth it.
