Cool deal. By critters, I was referring to spiders and small insects. Those small cooling vents will attract those things. EDIT: Though, if you knew what I meant, and don't have THOSE critters either, then I envy you.

Also, if this box/cabinet is adjacent to an interior wall (that is, adjacent to an exterior wall that is opposite an interior wall) you can port some HVAC into the box. Of course I would only do it if you own the condo, but it would alleviate some concerns during those extreme weather months.

We really don't have humidity here in Calgary. It's so dry in fact, that when I used to visit and for the first while when I moved here, I'd wake up every morning with nosebleeds. It's not an uncommon thing either.

The TV is a Westinghouse actually, a 4:3 unit. That was the reason I bought it years back actually, as in the bedroom it's typically television that I watch and I didn't want images to be distorted, nor did I want to sacrifice inches of display on the sides to have television show undistorted on a widescreen.

It's a pretty simple item actually, but it's survived some pretty tough stuff like being badly packing during my move from across the country and being dropped while I was mounting it on the wall. Oops

not sure about the temperatures... but it looks like they are water proof / resistant.

those TVs work pretty well. I have seen them at a couple places. All outside in direct contact with the UV rays of the sun and easily accessible to the elements in New England.

I too would be interested in a ceiling mounted remote operated drop down kit for my 47 inch!
