DuraTrax
yep saw that one. all the reviews do recommend the 5 cell 6v rechargable pack though. all-batteries has pretty good deals on the battery pack but I need to know the configuration that will fit the battery case. guess I'll have to wait for my car to come.

well i thnk im gonna just try out the AA rechargables for a little while and see how long they last, but let me know which one of the rechargables you get incase i decide otherwise. i dont know alot about battery specs at all
well the receiver needs 4.5-6v input i believe. and with 4 AA NI-Mh rechareables you'll only get 4.8v. and i hear steering response and radio response isn't as good as if you use alkaline which is 6v with 4.
so I'd stick with alkaline until you get the 5 cell Ni-Mh pack.

mine is out for delivery. I have to pick up some rechargeables and nitro, and do basic check ups most review sites recommended and fire her up. may be get in a couple of tanks in today
gotta oil up the air filter. I picked up inline fuel filter too, which is recommended to keep carb clean.
AFAIK that's it.
take the pressure tube from the exhaust off and blow on it until you see fuel going in carb, replace tube, then use the starter.
I haven't got my engine to start. seems i have a very tight engine at TDC and starter that came with the car isn't strong enough to overcome the pressure, even with glowplug unscrewed partially.
I have to try again today,, heat up the block and use a drill to crank if needed.

well i got the car started. it seems I was rusty at starting this thing..
heated up the block with hair dryer, then primed it correctly.
you can prime it by blocking the exhaust with your finger and the vaccume will suck the fuel when you turn the engin over.
this thing is FAST.. that's all I can say.. I've only done 2 tanks of break in and even at 1/2 throttle it's extemely fast.
stock radio has pretty good range. no where near where I would allow it to go in public places.
Overall I'm very happy with this purchase for first impressions. I'll post after i break in the motor fully. which won't be until next week.

well mine started up good and i got about half a tank through it and it just died. now i can barely get it to start and when it does i cant keep it running. i know its just a tuning problem, as i just think its a little too cold here. about 40. its driving me crazy! ugh
