No ringing any more.... i beat off a lot too though.......so maybe that helps me hear.....

Tinnitus could be so many things. Though I can not guarentee it, I doubt that you'll have a stroke by the time you go to the doctor. You are not the right profile to have carotid stenosis.
If it makes you feel any better, I"ve had tinnitus many times. It always has gone away.
