The key to this whole situation is that you mentioned that your close friend introduced you to one of his "LONG-TIME" friends..... that you eventually started to find interest in.
Everyones friends for now but you are interested in more. It's apparent that your friend has bullshitted too long and has fallen into the "FRIEND ZONE" where she has stated to you that she is not interested.
You keep bullshitting yourself and you'll fall into the same "FRIEND ZONE"....
Let your nuts hang....and handle your business...
