I'm still tired and doesn't feel like I rested properly.

I heard it's a disorder that a lot of people have. Anything to help me sleep more peacefully?

I read somewhere that Sharper Image sells something that supposedly helps you sleep and breathe properly when you sleep.

Any feedback or suggestions?

You may suffer from sleep apnea. This is a medical condition that needs to be diagnosed properly by a sleep clinic. Don't fool around with store bought stuff based on their claims of resolving your particular issues. Your doctor can refer you to a sleep clinic. Although they cannot always find a solution for you, at least you will know what the problem is. They can offer options anywhere from dental appliances to positive pressure breathing gear to surgery to medication or tell you to just live with it. You won't know till they check you out.
I went through this many years ago. They told me my apnea was only in the 10 percentile and it was mostly just snoring. Went through the dental thing, then 2 surgeries. It helps sleep more efficiently but did nothing for my snoring. I can still vibrate the house.

I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and just went to see an ear, nose, and throat surgeon last week. Fortunately, the less invasive surgery should correct it.

Don't put this off, as it can be very serious. You don't want to wait till after you fall asleep whilst driving to get diagnosed.

Oh, and going to the sleep clinic to get a diagnosis, what is the usual cost range? Is it normally covered by health insurance?

Uhh....7-8 hours is plenty. I'm still tired after 10 hours of sleep.
