My friend just bought a new WRX today. I saw commercials for WRX and they look exciting. I can't untill his break-in is over so I can see how fast they are. Anyone here test drove or raced against them????

Yup. I test drove a black sedan like the week after the US release. Niiiiiice car. Much tighter and more solid than my 2000 2.5RS. The WRX sedan comes with a 20mm rear swaybar. Quite impressive. The wagon has smaller bars and, I think, less responsive springs. Not sure on the latter. It's a shame, though... I prefer the wagon.

(Parts are directly interchangeable, however.)

I didn't get a chance to really engage much of the turbo, but from what I did get, it was a very enjoyable experience.
Subaru is still compelled to ship their cars with the Bridgestone RE-92 tires, though. A word to the wise--REMOVE THEM. With a putty knife, if need be. They suck.
No nice way to say it.

Are you sure suspension parts are interchangeable between the sedan and the wagon? The sedan has a slightly wider track than the wagon.

Once I was cruising on the highway at 60-70kmh when 2 WRXs (Previous model) came up next to me, a stock one on the left and a modded one on the right, all 3 of us punched it at the same time, me and the modded WRX left the stock WRX behind, I jumped ahead by half a car length to the modded WRX and stayed like that until we shut it off at 150kmh.

test drove this version on a special track 3 days ago (see http://www.s2000online.com/forums/showthre...?threadid=15824 )

Impreza WRX "UK 300" Ltd. edition.

it has a few mods from the stock wrx, including 18' wheels and PZero tires.

Even If I don't really like the styling of this car, I have to admit that it's very fast and has amazing handling. I reached my limits way before ever reaching the car's limits. This version had a loud and low exhaust sound...
It's definitely a car for people living in the mountains. I don't see the point of owning one in Florida, for example. You'll find faster and meaner-looking drag race cars for less.
