Default Exporting Firefox Bookmarks to another comp

I'd put this in the Computers forum but I don't think many people will see it. I'm trying to export Firefox Bookmarks from one computer to another but can't figure out how to do it. Their Help section offers no advice at all. I thought I could easily save it to a thumb drive then import it from there on to the other computer. Anyone else here done this?

Bookmarks->Organize Bookmarks...->Import and Backup->Backup...->[Save the .json file to your thumb drive]->[Open FireFox on the other computer]->

Bookmarks->Organize Bookmarks...->Import and Backup->Restore...->[Select your .json file from your thumbdrive]

You may also want to have a look at XMarks - http://www.xmarks.com/ which automatically keeps your bookmarks in sync across multiple computers and multiple browsers.

Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Firefox>Uninstall.

Then, Start>Quick Launch>IE8

Done.
