Mac computer questions
How do you.... it looks more complicated than it actually is...
TURN ON THE COMPUTER, OPENING FOLDER/FILE/ PROGRAM, CHANGING THE NAME OF A FILE, MAXIMIZING THE WINDOW, FILE, DELETING A FILE, REMOVING A FILE FROM THE TRASH, EMPTYING THE TRASH, COPYING A FILE FROM A DISC TO THE HARD DRIVE OR FROM THE HARD DRIVE TO A DISC, REMOVING A DISC FROM THE COMPUTER, PUTTING THE COMPUTER TO SLEEP, SHUTTING DOWN THE COMPUTER
Please help..........

Well, not knowing which type of Mac it is, I can at least tell you for Maximizing window it's the same as windows, but on the opposite side of the window.
Removing file from trash: click and hold and pull it out onto the desktop.
Empting the trash: Look inthe menu bar at the top of the screen.
Removing disk: drag folder to trash, or I believe it's also in menu bar up top.
Putting to sleep: just press button on computer, or go to menu bar and click sleep. (same with shutting it down)

i work with Macs everyday & even have one at the house now, i'm no expert by any stretch, but i'll be glad to assist if i can. please provide some specifics as to what OS you're running (8.x, 9.x, X), what kind of mac you have (G3, G4, G5, Powerbook, iMac), and specific questions....
as far as just getting started, there should be a button on the front of the computer, typically with a broken circle on it that has a straight line pointing upward at the 12 o'clock position,.... press that to turn on the computer
once it has turned on fully, click the apple logo in the upper left corner of the menu bar at the top of your screen, traditionally you will see "About This Mac" as the first option, click on that to find out information about YOUR Mac...
to open a file/folder/program, just like in windows, you double-click the icon
to change the name of a file, just click on the title, once to highlight it and again to rename (in OS X)

The solutions to all your problems is to run OS X and get a two-button mouse. A Windows user can get well situated in just a few minutes with the GUI.

Your responses helped a lot...This was for an assignment for my fiance'. I know it is simple, although the last time I used a Mac, was back in High School...I remember the single click and special thing, although most of normal procedures are blurry.
