im not trying to convince anybody i just want to rant about how much cops suck over here, and they are shaddy a single guy got shot naked by three cops for who knows what reason sounds funny and wierd but they couldve pepper sprayed him. in austin there have been shootings by cops for the wrong reasons and they have been using lethal force as a first action. Needless to say, im not the only guy in rr with a cool car, theres lots of cars from old school, imports, ive a seen a few vipers here. im just saying just because i like to take care of my car and personalize it the way i want doesnt mean that these cops can say "hey this guy gots money or mommy and daddy will pay for that" and pull me over. Now I have to ghetto rig my front tag on my front bumber with zip ties and sand down my tail lights or do a straight up trade with someone before my court date. I hope people can understand what Im talking about here

There is nothing inherently illegal about tinted tail lights in any State in the U.S. The indicators for legality are the amount and color of light emitted from the tail light, as well as the reflective characteristics and the naked color of the light without the bulb being on. Lights can't be too dim, they mustn't be a color other than red for parking/brake, red or yellow for turn signals, clearly white for reverse. The lenses still must be adequately reflective. And I'm sure there are inherent legal issues surrounding blue and green lenses that I've seen on cars, but NOT around smoked lenses.. I'll go buy an Acura right now with lenses probably more smoked than this guys..

Im with you OP, the fat Fuk pigs are too busy pissing with small, insignificant issues simply because they are cowards and afraid to do real police work. Its easier to harass an innocent, law abiding citizen than it is to get off ya fat ass and do real police work. Also revenue is a huge deal with them now too, I understand they gotta eat too, but increasing revenue through increased harassment of drivers makes me sick.

If you don't want to be pulled over for things like front license plate, noise, taillights, etc. Then buy American. A lot of american cars don't even have space for a front license plate. Cops won't pull them over because "it's a vette, baby!"

I usually defend against this type of pull-over-ry, but are you serious?

You have a bright, sporty, loud japanese car in the middle of Texas. You are drawing plenty of attention to yourself already. Add two VERY obvious illegal mods (no front plate and tinted rear lights) and you are guaranteed a pullover.
