Did you do a change of address on your license? Or did you register to vote?
Just find a way to use "stealth" in every sentence when they screen you...
I just had jury duty and enjoyed all 5 days of it. I got paid by the city, and by my job. My normal work hours are 9-7 and I only had to be at the courthouse 10-5. Not to mention it was a pretty interesting case, and I learned alot that I didn't know before.
In the county I live you can only be called once every four years. It aint a bad deal for me because they pay about $75 a day plus milage for your jury duty and my job gives free paid time off for jury duty so I made about $350 in fun $ for a week listening to some testimony and watching movies on my laptop during downtime.
The judge did not want to put in much work on the case so he had us start about 9 am every day, and hour and a half for lunch and he wanted to call it quits about 2:30 every day to go golfing.

Oh man - Alameda county calls ALL the TIME for me still. . . even though I've changed EVERYTHING to Santa Clara CO.
To add insult to injury, they always put you at the wrong courthouse. If you live in Berkley, they assign you to Fremont. If you live in Fremont, they assign you to Oakland. . .
Oakland Superior gets A LOT of traffic. As such, those in the county who are fit to be on a jury do get called a lot. My folks get it about once every year and a half. . .

First, you might want to adjust your attitude about serving on a jury. It may be an inconvenience for you, but it's a darn sight less inconvenient than daily existence in any of the totalitarian societies that exist or have existed. If the worst thing that happens to you today is that you have to sit in an air-conditioned courtroom waiting to learn if you'll sit on a jury or not, you've had a pretty good day; quit your whining: you're better off than 90% of the world's population.
Second, there is a limit to the frequency with which you can be required to serve in a jury pool. Phone the courthouse and let them know how often you're receiving summonses; they might excuse you.

Actually, you can ask the courts clerk to reschedule or request a hardship "walk" if it really is a hassle. Otherwise, buck up there citizen and do your civic duty.

That'll teach you to vote hippie!
The end result is that the most eligible jurors are government employees...which makes it very hard for me get a trial by a jury of MY peers!
