not having to work... AND having $100,000 a year to blow on WTF you want? you guys are crazy if you think that's not enough money to get by on. maybe it's cause you guys have kids / wives to support??? maybe then it wouldn't be enough... but for a single person, that'd be a relatively comfortable life.

you could still have a nice car... budget $700/mo. for payment & insurance. ($8400/year), rent a really nice place or buy an okay house, $1500/mo. ($18,000/year), which would leave me with $73,600 to buy booze, food, clothes, and a few tropical vacations with.

i remember the summer after my freshman year of college, i was unemployed, didn't make ANY money, $0, and it was the BEST summer of my life. i lived at home with my parents, stayed up late every night, slept in 'til noon the next day and woke up just to go wakeboarding / bum around at the lake. or we'd plan these camping trips with a bunch of friends and go live at a campground for a week living off of hot dogs and beer. you know, you CAN be happy and not have a lot of money...

I backpacked through europe for 15 weeks partying, drinking sightseeing and meeting new people everyday and it only cost me around $15kAU or ~$12KUS. With $100kUS/year I'd continue that trip with my g/f and use the leftovers to fly family and friends over or to fly back myself.

Oktoberfest, carnivale, mardi gras, midsommer, La Tomatina etc the list goes on and on and as with the vegas thread if you get bored doing this I think you're boring

well, for one, i would like to be able to travel and live in different parts of the world and stay at each place indefinitely, explore the place and absorb and experience as much of the culture as i can until i've had enough and or become bored, and then spontaneously move on to the next place without having to worry about luggage, etc., and just buy what i need when i arrive at my new destination of choice. basically, i would like to have the luxury and freedom of being spontaneous and not having to plan, and also have enough funds to not have to inhibit what i can and cannot experience along the way.

i would roll the biggest blunt this world has ever seen and then buy a mickeys forty to accompny it. after that i would fly to san diego and get a carnitas platter at my favorite mexican joint. i would then contruct a giant vertical rotisserie full of al pastor meat in my kitchen and make tacos whenever i felt the urge. the tacos would be eaten in my hot tub in santa cruz, ca. after, eating a bunch of tacos i would hop on my hobbie cat and sail to san francisco and chill in the bay and drink samosas all day long. and then catch the first flight to ibiza aka heaven on earth.
