I suppose you'd rather they used Crown Vics so it would have been a Ford commerical? They did after all use Police Cars which are currently sold as police fleet vechiles. It just so happens they look bad ass. Granted, having them in Rio is kinda iffy, but hey you know it is a movie after all.
