Favorite Books
not very many mystery readers on here, huh???
i love reading murder mysteries. some of my favorite authors are patricia cornwell (kay scarpeta series), james patterson (1st to die, is my favorite by him) , kathy reich, ridley pierson, thomas harris (i know, disgusting, huh??) i like the suspense in catching the murderer.
i read tradgic love novels too. i started reading nicholas sparks (he's the one who wrote, a walk to remember. that was adapted into a movie) recently.
some chic flick novels... jane greene, carly phillips, jennifer weiner.... many, many more.
i don't read sandra brown's novels or nora roberts.
and i also enjoy my monthly issue of cosmopolitan

practically anything by James P. Hogan
Same goes for Eric Van Lustbader
ALL of the Dune books (so glad that his son and his partner are doing the prequels and finishing up the series)
Gordon R. Dickson's Dragon and the George books
Roger Zelazny (especially the Amber books)
The Red Dragon (birthplace of Dr. Lecter)
Larry Niven doesn't write anything bad but his best stuff is done in collaboration
with Barnes and Pournelle, but Ringworld (written solo) is da bomb.
The Myth Books (Skeeve the Master Apprentice and his sidekick Ahzz the Prevect [not pervert].
and then
Douglas Adams, Robert Lynn Aspirin, Ann Rule, Dick Marchinko, Samuel Langhorn Clemens....
Ah yesssss...Miyamoto Musashi's Go Rin No Sho
Dave Barry
Dr. Hunter S. Thompson
Lanterns on the Levee by W. A. Percy
Lewis Grizzard

Reading has been one of my favorite passions for many years now. It's amazing how hard it can be to put down a good book! Sci fi & fantasy are the genre I can't seem to get enough of. Since continuing storylines seem to be the popular approach for today's authors I'll mention a few that have kept me captivated.
The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind
The Magician series by Raymond E. Fiest
The Belgariad series by David Eddings
The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (is he ever going to end this one)?
The Sword of Shannara series by Terry Brooks
The Rama series by Arthur C. Clarke
The Foreigner series by C.J. Cherryh
