Fellow Married men: Do you have to work hard to get it?
Looking for feedback from married men, or formerly married men.
comments from married women and formerly married women are also welcome.
I'm sorry, but if you're not married, I don't think it's the same.

Well, as I'm a married man (19 years now), I guess I'm allowed to testify.
If the only time you have sex with your wife is when you have enough brownie points to redeem, then that is pretty sad.
Sometimes your love life may be plain, sometimes it might be spicy, but it should never be treated as some kind of sick "Green Stamps" system. Sure, sometimes you might 'get lucky' just because she thought something you did was nice/special, but the reason behind isn't a 'reward'. It's not 'he did the dishes so I guess I'll put out', but rather 'He did the dishes - he's so sweet, I love him so'. And the nice/special thing isn't always doing your chores - it can be sending her flowers on something other than Valentine's day or her birthday, it might be her seeing the way you're playing with the kids.
We've had our share of ups and downs during the last 19 years, and one thing has been constant - the quality of our sex life has been in direct relation with the quality of the rest of the marriage.

if you have to get brownie points to get some, you are obviously a bad lay!
