Default Feral Cats!

So I have a crazy cat lady next door that feeds a colony of feral cats. There are probably around 50 of them. Most of them live in the storm sewer and don't cause too much of a problem, but a few of the more brazen ones have been camped out in my lawn... and judging by the fur on my soft top, on the S2000. It will be at least a few months before I can garage it nightly. So what should I do about the cats?

I'm open to ideas, with a few restrictions:

1. I live in town = no "22 should work" responses

2. I've already tried the city and animal control

3. Being a bastion of liberal hippy commies, Illinois actually past a law specifically protecting caretakers of feral cat colonies. So suing her is out.

Fixed feral cats are protected and considered "community cats" where I live, and there are plenty of them because of irresponsible people. Try using a liquid cat/dog repellent or an ultrasonic motion sensor. Those should do the job.

Also, get that garage parking ASAP... that's really the only way to avoid cats on your car and many other potential issues.

Take a couple slices of bread, load them with hot sauce(be generous), and put it in their food dish(I'm assuming there is one) when the crazy lady is not looking.

Good idea. She feeds them from a large chafing dish about 10 feet from the property line.

I love the cat-o-matic spray device. I have had to retire the 22 mag as I used to live in a residential neighborhood but the pellet rifle is quiet lethal and they usually don't die right away so you don't have to deal with the "evidence".

So go to Wal-Mart and get a big economy can of tuna you know the big 5 lb can.. Spread it out and wait for the magic to happen. Head shots work best.

I have since moved and I don't have a cat problem where I live now thank god. They used to destroy everything and chasing them out of the trash cans was a nightly nuisance!

Wow, in this topic people like killing cats

Why don't you just leave traps to catch them and then transport them far away and drop them off somewhere or bring them to the pound

Edit: just realized my avatar is a cat, but I would feel the same way for other animals as well.
