FEX EX Pisses me off (venting here)
i sold a apple powerbook and shipped the laptop cod via my parents fedex business account. they accepted a fake cashiers check for it. (actually it was a piece of paper that just said cashiers check, looked so fake, a 10 year-olrd could have done better) they gave me teh run around for awhile since i sent it insured. after about 6 months, they informed me that my claim wasnt valid because i took to long to file a claim and didnt notify the claims department. im still going through court over this 1 year later. im so facking angry cuz when it first happened, a rep assured me that this was going to be taken care of.
My company used to have a contract with FedEx, but switched to Airborne Express a couple years ago. Airborne / DHL makes mistakes too, but they are cheaper. They do often beat their estimates, I've found. You select "next afternoon" and it may arrive in the 10am delivery. You select "2nd day" and it may arrive one day earlier.
The only problem has been Hawaii. They state that they cannot guarantee next day delivery to Hawaii, and they were right. An item I shipped from Seattle to Honolulu took two days to get there. At least they were realistic about it.
