Finally finished TXRZ
The last Z car is so fast that it blows away my 2800 lbs 1100hp R34. It's like my car is standing still. The top speed on that car is about 263 mph, so you'll never catch him. He always hits that top speed before you do. So after you hit the same max all you do is keep pace. Even if you buy the Z car at the end, you're still no match for him cuz he weighs 200 lbs less and has 200 more hp. So it's all about the twisties, where his top speed doesn't come into play. All you can do is hope that he'll hit another car or the wall. Not a bad game, but I'm ready for GT3. Btw, It's a bitch to get the Wanderers to race. Also, you don't get to keep your money and garage once you finished the game and want to start a new one, a la TXR2 on DC.
so do ALL the roads/intrance ramps/exit ramps open up? I'd think they would. I suppose I need to invest another hundred hours in the game.
one thing that ticked me off. I have the R34 still, its got 716hp, and I haven't gotten to the point where I get the next engine, so I bought a Viper, maxed it w/everything, and quite lightweight as well - lots of fun, doesn't handle worth s***. so...if you want to buy another car in the "A" category, like one of the lightweight NSX's, it doesn't let you since its not there! I guess you can have only one of these cars at a time? the un-locked cars that is.

Props to Donut for hooking me up with the FAQs. Here's the link again.

s2k fan,
You can borrow it, cuz I'll be playing GT3.
Schatten,
Not all the exit ramps connect to a track. Some just send you into the garage. Also, you don't need that many hours to finish the game. It's just that most of the time you and I were trying to figure it out. The FAQs on that link helped a lot. Keep playing. Once you beat like a devil or a zodiac, you get more mods. The top horsepower rating is 1104 for anycar, and the top speed is 263 hp no matter what car or gear ratio. The last car has more hp, but it's unattainable to the player. Also, you can have as many "A" cars as you want. You just have to wait till you beat the right bosses and then more cars will open up.
Blau,
I bet I'll need some GT3 tips from you in the future.
However, I don't have the jp version like you do.

It took me about a month. It doesn't really take that long. Most of the time was spent trying to find Wanderers and how to get them to race you. Once Donut gave me the link to the help guide, I finished it pretty quickly. I think it's possible to finish the game in 20 to 30 hours.
