Nice going. That's a great story, but what do you mean you don't know how to wear a tie? What do you do at interviews, dinners at nice restaurants, funerals, graduation, etc?
You live in Southern California and you wear a tie to all of these events???
Well...Let's see...

1) interviews - c'mon you got to wear a tie there
2) nice restaurants - if you don't, you'll stick out like a sore thumb
3) funerals - got to show some respect to the fallen
4) graduation - lots of pictures, got to look nice

Yup...all those events require ties. Let's not forget work. There's a dress code there.

Try these sites. The use the same pictures I still reference when trying to tie a tie.

I typically use the four in hand knot. It's good for a shirt that has the collar tabs quite close together (like the Pat Riley shirt he made popular a few years ago). For a shirt that has a bigger gap between the collar tabs go with a windsor or halfwindsor. It's a much bulkier knot and can look like it's a clip on if it's not tied well. However, the Windsor stays much better if you are inclined to tie it once, loosen it, slide it over your head and leave it tied for the next time you need it.

Good luck!

Nice story!!! Infact if things progress maybe she can teach you how to tie a tie!!! This story brings back a fond memory of how I met my man. In fact now that I think about it what a cheesy way to approach him, but it worked!! I've always had a love for cars. Well anyways my friends and I were at a picnic grubbing and having a good time. In the corner of my eye I see him pull up in his Accord. It wasn't all decked out, but it was dropped and had an exhaust. While he was getting some food, I decided to go up to him and ask him what kind of exhaust he had? Of course this being this first time we spoke. He was really got caught off guard. He looked at me as if I wasn't serious!! Like a female isn't suppose to know about these things. He mentioned it was Greddy sport. Since then we became good friends and eventually started dating. Now all we do is talk about cars, mods, drag strip, sportbikes, ect.
I guess we're a dangerous couple since we both have the need for speed!!!!

I am converting my gf into a track girl.

When we first started dating she wouldn't go to the track, but then she went once and now she is asking if she can go with me!

Not bad!

Maybe you can even get her to race herself!!!
I remember the first time I did that I had so many butterflies in my stomach!!! What a rush!! My personal best time is 15.3 sec. That's when I had my Gsr(nuespeed race springs, n1 exhaust, dc intake and 17" rims with nitto 555 tires and other goodies) I guess I can't complain. Just need to improve on my reaction time.

Damn it, this sucks, she didn't call me for lunch.. sigh.. I will keep you guys posted though, I haven't lost hope!

Her sister emailed me this morning just to say Hi, so maybe I can get a double agent working for me... Anyone have any suggestions??

Thanks!

Edit: My coworkers advise me not to call her but to wait for her to call me. Also, she gave me her email address which is an AOL address so there is an option to contact her online.. But this doesn't sound like a good idea to me.. any thoughts?

Don't agonize. It's always a formula for disaster...
