OH man. Exciting moment the other night... Looks like the buffalo sabres passed the neck gashing buck off to some one else.

Not quite as good as Clint Malarchuk's old school neck gashing back in '89. I mean once every 20 years isn't that bad? Both lived too.

I think it's time to institute more safety regulations....

The look on his face is disturbing. The "I'm going to die" face is unsettling. Glad to hear he is going to be ok.

I remember this happening in the 80's. Can't remember the player's name, but CNN ran the video of it over and over all the next morning.

I stopped watching CNN while eating breakfast from that point on. Black blood spilling out onto the ice isn't something to experience over your snap crackle and pop.

Clint Malarchuk, Sabres goalie. I remember this vividly and since I was younger it startled me that an athlete might die playing a game.
