I don't even bother anymore. I just pass the a-holes on the right. Makes my life a lot easier and keeps my blood from boiling.

In CA this why I so enjoy riding my motorcycle. Then the other vehicles out there are more like moving chicanes than anything to get annoyed at!

These people drive me nuts and I don't hesitate to flash to pass. Sometimes they get over, more often they ignore/don't notice me, or slow down. I've become accustomed to these retards braking - maybe they're woken from a stupor and do it instinctively, maybe they do it to be vengeful, but I just gas and pass on the right while they are slowing down. I have to admit I get joy watching them all of the sudden try to speed back up as I cruise by.

When I'm forced to pass on the right I always cut the person off when i get back in the left lane and usually hit my brakes. I love seeing them get all mad in my rear view mirror!!!

I have no problem honking my horn or flashing my brights at someone who needs to move over.

Hee hee hee. Well I got a story children......

About two weeks ago I was in a situation where someone about 3 cars ahead of me would not get out of the left lane. She was bein tailgated VERY aggressively by someone two cars ahead of me in a giant Tahoe. This went on for three miles in a 60 mph zone and the left lane hog was doing 45 next to a slow moving truck with no other traffic except for the slow moving oversize load in the right lane, exactly where he was supposed to be.

Anywho while this person tailgates her, she slows to forty five until the oversize load passes her, and everyone starts to get to the right lane to then slide by her, she guns it so no one can pass, passes the oversize load, and then lets off the gas again until the big truck is now ahead of her. She does this four times driving everyone crazy. After four miles of this, the oversize load truck exits and there is a jailbreak. She tries to race the tahoe for a while but gives up. I am about the third car to pass her on the right followed by several others, with myself and a few others flipping her the bird.

An hour later, while watching Oprah, the state patrol shows up at my house and gives me a ticket for "disorderly conduct" for "offending" the woman. He was going to hand out one to another motorist after me as well. Possible 90 days in jail and up to $1000 fine. It won't happen, I am sure they will drop the charges, the cop was just trying to be a pr*ck and it goes against every supreme court decision in the last 50 years.

But apparently where I live they don't go after the left lane hogs, they go after people who just want to get up to the speed limit.

As a side note, I have discovered that there is a small cottage industry of attorneys who are winning malicious prosecution suits against law enforcement officers who hand out tickets for flipping off another motorist when they know it is within a persons rights. I may do that, but I personally intend to tell the officer to go f himself if he shows up at trial. Thats been made legal by Lewis v City of New Orleans 1974 because my state statute still is not in compliance with this decision or Gooding v Wilson.

Google is a wonderful thing.
I would file a citizen's ticket (Should be able to do this by going down to your local police station, I know in NJ we can do this and I have in the past) against her for holding up traffic / creating an unsafe environment.

Don't let her get the last laugh!

flash to pass... if your going fast enough and the road is empty they will understand and maybe learn something. if the road isn't empty i'll put my tires over the line where the groves are to keep you from drifting off the road if you are sleeping at the wheel, this makes a ton of noise and makes the person in front of me think i'm crazy.

Move over banner doesn't hurt.

cops aren't very fond of the move over banner, according to people I've known who've had it.

never had any issues... been through inspection, been pulled over in groups and by myself... never a mention. it could attract the wrong kind of attention but so far so good.
