Veiled ones will run you 80+, but there are several types of chameleon, so you can pick one up for much less. a buddy of mine has a chameleon. They will bite, but I don't think my buddy's has any teeth so it doesn't hurt. Its fun to watch that tounge snatch up crickets He had it in a tank with other lizards that were supposedly compatible, but one day the chameleons leg got bit off!!! It healed right up though and now hes a 3-legged wonder.

I have owned them before. Good pets, but unfortunately a bit fragile.
