Cool prank but too much work.

The last prank we played at work took a while for the punchline. There was this guy who put his desk so there was only a little room for visitors. We moved it back about a 1/4" per day. It took him about 6", almost a month, before he noticed something was wrong.

 

I used to have a boss who was very compulsive about his desk.Wite out was always in the exact same place, phone at just such an angle, etc. I'd regularly move the phone and either take or move the Wite-out after he left for the day. When I'd get in the next morning, things would be back the old way and he never said anything.
In that same office, we had five people with one phone line. A woman was sent there essentially for punishment. She'd continue to make hour long phone calls, so I removed the microphone from her handset. She then moved to a phone in an minimally used area of the building that I'd have to pass to make her calls. I took that mike out until she stopped using it and went somewhere I didn't have to watch. Then "repaired" the phones.
