Ga. courthouse killer...
Ok, this guy was ALREADY facing life imprisonment for the kidnapping and rape charges...
in a hallway of the courthouse, he overpowers the deputy who was walking him to the court room and shoots her in the face...
awful...
BUT... instead of then trying to flee... he GOES INTO THE COURTROOM... and kills the judge, the baliff, and the court reporter... and then he makes his escape! he had a real vendetta. rather than just trying to flee once he shot the deputy, he went into that courtroom for revenge... kills three people... then leaves...
he goes to the parking garage and carjacks a news reporter's vehicle... let's that guy escape but has the idea of rather than driving off, he drives the vehicle to another part of the garage, parks it, puts on that reporter's overcoat and leaves ON FOOT!
so the whole time they've got an APB out looking for this vehicle, and instead Brian Nichols is likely casually walking away, trying to blend in.
it takes the Ga. police 13+ hours to discover that the car they are looking for has in fact been in the garage the entire time. and right now, they've got no leads.
this is like a damn movie. if I was watching this on TV or as a movie, I would've given the
idea to him going into the courtroom to do what he did.
this really is a HUGE embarassment and traumatic event for the Georgia police force... they had already found sharpened objects hidden in his shoes... the judge stated they were going to beef up security in the courtroom specifically because of this... and even then he overpowers the lone deputy assigned to walk him to court... and manages to go in and exact his revenge...
can you imagine if this guy actually gets away??

What I don't understand is why this guy wasn't handcuffed and shackled.
what I don't understand is why there wasn't more than 1 person guarding him. especially someone who was smaller whom he could overpower. through his desire to hide sharpened objects in his shoes, he already had given some clues that he had violence on his mind.
actually....he killed 3 people yesterday, one guys is in critical condition in the hospital, and killed a customs agent this morning in north atlanta. it's a real shame that he's killed so many innocent people.
this is all happening around my area, it's pretty intense. no one wants to leave their homes, and everyone's out a look out for the 4th car that he's hijacked, a blue chevy pick up truck.
