With summer coming up and school coming to a close in the next month or so, I was thinking about getting a console since I'll be having some time on my hands... X-Box and PS2 as it stands is a lil too expensive (even though XBOX is lowering their price by 30 dollars).. so a used Gamecube would only run me about 100 bucks Canadian... Plus, I don't mind the no DVD thing because I already have one...

With PS2 and XBOX getting most of the attention lately, any impressions on the gamecube from owners or people who have played with it?? Games like Zelda, Mario Sunshine, Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime, look pretty good.

Nintendo has some really cool games on it.... but misses out on alot of other cool ones. I got addicted to Animal Crossing, a friend said that Pikmin was a really cool game too... Mario Party was also a great one. In general I'm not a big fan of the feel of Nintendo-written games, but it does have some good ones.

alot of the fun games are made for multiplayer

mario sunshine, eh not that great reminded me of mario 64 with a upgrade on what mario can do other than that basically the same gameplay oh and you can play as yoshi in it

metroid prime, have it but let my bro play it so i dunno ...graphics looked nice

Pikmin was addicting too when it first came out weird game but still fun to play... no replay factor to me tho so once its beat you pretty much dont wanna touch it agian

My X has one that we played all the time. She had more "girly" games for it, but it was still fun. Mario golf was a definite must have. We killed hours on the thing.

I have a Gamecube for the "only for gamecube" games such as: Zelda, Mario Kart, Smash brothers etc. Nintendo is working on Metriod Prime 2 and Zelda Windwaker 2 so I am waiting for those to come out. All my friends have PS2 or XBOX so that's another reason why i bought a gamecube.

gamecube has more games aimed toward little kids. ps2 has a lot more serious, critical thinking, games.
