GO shoot some photos!
Ok, here's a few. The yard as a whole still needs to do some blooming. But here's some color.

Coleus plants, lots of variety to choose from. We have several I like these best.

Balloon flower. I'm trying to play around with my point and shoot camera a bit. Used the macro setting on some of these, vs. Auto setting....not sure it makes a better pic or not.

Impatiens in the front of the house.

Cone flower again

And our bear sculpture standing guard.

Pretty much the same garden as previous years. We're not too creative.

Ok my sig other loves to garden and I really appreciate it because it gives me the opportunity to take pictures of flowers. We have 2 fish ponds, a small flower garden, a Muscadine arbor, some kind of weird citron tree/bush, plenty of Jade and a couple of plumeria trees. I'll upload some pics and post them. BTW thanks for starting this section/thread, very cool!

I like doing macro shots but I will try to get some pics of the gardens and ponds. Hope you like.
Oh and most of the pics posted have not been edited, so sorry for the dullness of some of them I just excited about posting the pics.

Nice pictures, Bear. Gardening is good for the soul. Shelly, love your garden. Sometime when I have time I'd like to cultivate an area of the yard like that. We have a very, very large lawn and the yardwork (just for the grassy areas and shrubs) consume so much time/energy, its hard to concentrate on flowers alone. The past couple/years I've spent most of the spring time down by the shore in South Carolina, so when I should be planting here, I'm tanning there.

Vtecmom, the +1 and I went for a mountain drive today up on the Blue Ridge Parkway (Virginia) and there were acres and acres of wild foxglove with HUGE bloomstalks. All of them were white, but they were OUTSTANDINGLY beautiful. I'd never seen them blooming in the wild. I would have dug up a few, but the federal preserve is weird about stuff like that, so I left them. Wish I'd had my camera, but didn't even think of taking it.
