Get ready for a real bad heartache....
I haven't seen the video; hopefully when I get home. Anyways, the official comments from the authorities after the fact are upsetting as well. They show no compassion whatsoever. Maybe if just once a public official would say "hey we screwed up and we're very sorry" instead of "we wish circumstances could have been different" or crap like that. I know the lawyers won't let them but that's what's wrong with lawyers AND cops. Dumbasses.....

What gets me and will hopefully get the cops, is that at the scene of the incident, they apologized for many things.
Now the city, and officials, are showing remorse but offer no apology. Is that because an apology shows responsibility of wrong doing? If so, the officers have already apologized for the incident (prior to lawyer consultations). Why not just bite the bullet and try to settle this out of the public eye?
Obviously it took on a life of its own because they didn't This family was traumatized on Jan. 1, yet this story only reaches up now...more than a full week later?
Had officials acted accordingly, I'm willing to bet none of us would have heard of this incident.
Let me reiterate what keeps going through my mind: Why didn't the officer drop his gun and wrestle the dog if that what it came to? there were plenty of other officers there to cover the human suspects with their un-needed guns, and still some extra to help wrestle that "mean little beast".
I've been attacked by a dog before, a German Shepherd mix to be exact. I'd guess it was around 100 lbs. and I was probably 105 lbs. wet at the time. Any size dog can be wrestled and majority of the time be overpowered (keep in mine, their legs aren't as flexible as our arms and legs...so they have many pressure points right there). Patton, the Smoaks dog, was 20 lbs and 1 foot tall....if that. This guy could have picked the dog up from the scruff....what a fvcking pansy.
GGGRRRRRRRR.....I've thought about this the whole day and haven't calmed down yet.

With "America's Finest" close by, who needs criminals?
Wish I could say that this is a good'ol USA specific thing though. Ten or so years ago in Hull, Quebec, a similar event happened.
Owner of a Great Dane got arrested for being drunk and disorderly. The dog was proving difficult to handle and he really didnt like the way his owner was being treated. Eight inbred Hull cops pulled out their revolvers in front of about a hundred people and, 38 shots later, the dog fell.
I watched that video, and right now, Im shocked that that guy would be given a weapon. Clearly, he cant handle it. Take it away.
